[00:00] i am very excited to kick off this orientation it's funny using the microphone and kind of a small intimate group like this we you know do this every week and um but for the recording we're going to use it and hopefully you can hear me very clearly at least so i'm timor i'm one of the founders of edge city and we are going to spend about 25 minutes together just kind of orienting you onto the projects that are running this experience what it's all about we'll talk a

[00:33] little bit about the month ahead and a few details the week ahead geez crazy and a few details to uh to get you oriented and then right after there will be a town hall where more folks will join us and we will um have kind of one of our weekly traditions so i'm going to kick off with a little bit about edge city which is the edge side of edge esmeralda so we are we call what we do building a society incubator and what that means is three things primarily we host these month-long pop-up

[01:08] villages for folks at the frontiers of tech science and culture so you're at one now congrats it's wonderful to have you we also incubate and accelerate startups new fields of academia big real estate projects and we're also doing a lot more grant making and field building these days so we run grant programs in frontier fields ranging from consciousness to ai to many others in the fields that we focus on we've been around for about two and a half years we've had over 12 000 people at our events we've done nine of these people we've had people from over 100 countries represented which is

[01:42] really cool um hundreds of startups and projects um millions in grants raised for builders and we've had the privilege of working with some of the world's leading institutions and here you can kind of get a sense of the edge world map as it's being created um and you'll see that some of these are actually starting to become permanent nodes so for example in bhutan there's a new city being built and right here where we are in california um there is the esmeralda project which you'll hear about in a second and we're actually this week going to announce the next location so you're here at the

[02:17] perfect time so you know get excited for that so how does this work what do we how do we approach the uh the work that we do so it starts at these villages we hope that these will be some of the most interesting and dynamic months of your year we um gather between 500 and a thousand people over the course of the month there's usually about 200 that stay the whole time and probably about 500 who are here at least a week and the rest are day pass holders locals that we're excited to collaborate

[02:47] with um we generally look for folks who are curious kind and high agency meaning building something interesting working on something could be building a family building you know uh village uh building a startup etc and we generally build our villages around different residencies and theme tracks so this week you will experience the environments of tomorrow theme which will be extremely exciting and also the future of education theme we have four principles that we gather uh people around these are kind of our

[03:18] design principles and how we approach these villages the first is that we hope this month is default healthy meaning that there's daily workouts connection time time in nature time outside we really hope everyone leaves healthier than when they arrived they're also multidisciplinary meaning you'll meet a lot of different people from different sides of culture society policy makers obviously startups technology and science and more represented we focus these months around building and co-creating

[03:49] so you know hopefully everyone ships something while they're here it could be an essay it could be a startup a feature etc and we also co-create the experience with each other so we really hope people get involved in the actual creating of this um of this village and lastly they are multi-generational so we create an environment that's very easy for people to bring their families it's amazing place for kids to thrive and learn if you've been to the hub you've probably already seen it there's amazing things

[04:19] getting built and we've had amazing feedback this month actually from the edge tomorrow residency which is the kids residency here so it's really meaningful to create environments like this where kids are not separate from the adults like many parts of modern society and we can actually integrate um everyone of all ages in one context so ultimately we're aiming to create just a really incredible place for people and their friends and families to spend time and then while they're here while you are here we hope

[04:49] you flourish and then your ideas and your projects flourish as well just briefly on what are we actually kind of doing you know in the future what are we aiming towards and this is an interesting chart it shows the surface area that we're we're playing with here this is a diagram where if you can't see it it's the number of people on the y-axis and number and time on the x-axis both are logarithmic scale and you can see that each level of organization has its own kind of intimacy and culture and kind of

[05:21] emergent properties and edge city lives in this gap and we feel that this is a very interesting place to play a month is long enough for um experiments to be run for emergent phenomena to form for new cultures to form we also the number of people allows for you know there's at least Dunbar's number of people here at any one time so there's lots of interesting interactions connections to be made and what we've seen is that these villages are just an amazing way to bootstrap to bootstrap the kinship and affinity and connection that will then allow us to collectively start to think about what we can create together to build a brighter future

[05:59] and why is this important right now well it's clear that we are living through a transition and there are many ways of doing things institutions cultures that are not um it says here not fit for the task but you know not necessarily native to the current time that we live in in terms of internet and ai and we need we feel that we need new environments to incubate new versions of these things some of them sure will come from universities think tanks accelerators etc

[06:33] but we feel that these pop-up cities are kind of a new design surface area to play with for creating new types of projects experiments and institutions and to give you some examples because that all sounds very nice but extremely vague we will give you some case studies of things that have happened already at edge to get you inspired and to share a little bit more about that please give some snaps for my co-founder janine we do snaps instead of applause because it's an intimate group

[07:03] all right so projects and experiments we have had a lot happening on the ground so far and but i'm just going to walk through some things that we've done over the past couple of villages and then how it's coming to life here one has been the inflection fellowship so we actually have done this since the inception of edge where we bring in six to eight talented founders or builders very early stage in their projects and ideas who are under the age of 25 and use this as a space to create meet new people get like jump started into their you know future careers or what they're trying to build in the world

[07:42] and we've created a ton of amazing opportunity for people that have been here to date the inflection fellows this year are no no different and they'll be presenting i think on thursday if you're interested in attending that people have been building startups at edge it was kind of something of like when we started we were like what what are people going to build here startups are clearly one where this space allows people to prototype really really quickly you've got many different participants who all want to be active in helping in providing ideas suggestions improving what people are building

[08:19] so people don't necessarily have to build in a silo and you know build a product for a year and then be like oh users let me try and find those it's like they can find them early on in their journey constellation is one of those they ran a neurotech experiment at edge esmeralda in 2025 that just demonstrated that there was a real start they had to be had they've built a team raised 10 million dollars and have built the largest multimodal data set of its kind as a result of that consciousness is a really vague term but field building has been an area that we have done a lot in

[08:55] the area of consciousness and that's more of like the science side has where we have brought together a lot of researchers researchers and individuals building startups who are focused on either neurotech body like mind body connection and how the science behind what is going on between mind and body versus just accepting that like consciousness is consciousness and we don't really know what this field is it's a field of science that no one has really tackled and we're starting to bring together a lot of the people that are raising their hands and wanting to go after it

[09:30] we've also done a lot of applied research at edge and more and more we're diving into this field where at edge a lot of experiments are being run why that's valuable you've got both participants that are part of edge that are like putting up their hands saying I want to be part of some weird science experiment of last week we had people collecting their poop because they can get a viral panel and they were helping a startup that wants to actually see both how valuable their product is but also get a data set of 20 samples that they can use and we had you know

[10:09] 50 people put up their hands saying like me me me please can I participate so we've got very willing participants and then on the flip side we have scientists that want to iterate or you know folks that are doing research that are like wait this is this amazing space where I can you know start a project when I'm here have a ton of participants run it multiple times over because we've got many days with the same people so this area of edge has really expanded where previously it was we had people coming to edge we helped sort of incubate their their research

[10:41] after edge and and find people to support and now we're actually iterating on the ground much faster from idea or research you know theory into science at edge which is super super exciting to see and have that grow over the course of this month and then one we're really excited about is partnerships with new permanent hubs one of the things we believe in is you know compounding relationships the software layer that build really

[11:13] interesting social infrastructure and for every space that has physical infrastructure the more interesting the social infrastructure is the more interesting that place becomes think about San Francisco think about New York think about these cities in the world that we're all like wow those are amazing a big piece of that is because of the interesting networks and social infrastructure that exists in those spaces and finding partners that we want to help go from zero to one and one and not have this like cold start problem when they build is very important to us one being Esmeralda

[11:48] which we'll hear a little bit about right now another that we're working with is the Gleifu Mindfulness City in Bhutan and we've got an exciting partner that we'll be announcing in India later this week so on that note I'm gonna invite Devon to the stage thank you Janine thank you Timur hi everybody it's nice to see some familiar faces and some new ones I am Devon I'm the founder and CEO of Esmeralda and as Janine alluded to Esmeralda is a new village that we're building about 15 minutes north of here in Cloverdale California

[12:24] we've actually got at least two Cloverdalians in the audience I'm so happy that you guys are here and to give you a little bit of a sense for anyone who hasn't been up to Cloverdale it's just up Highway 101 from where we are right now and we are and from San Francisco it's about a 90 minute drive and here are some pictures of the property where we will be building this village and a little bit about sort of how this physical project relates to the temporary pop-up that is EDGE so this month long event this is actually now our third year in a row that we've hosted it in Sonoma County and I like to think of it as kind of the software of the community and so what what Janine mentioned where it's the events the programming and then what my team and I are building with Esmeralda is the hardware it's the physical place it's the buildings it's the infrastructure it's the sewage I get to see

[13:10] I get to spend a lot of my day thinking about things like electrical and sewage and it's the combination of those two that make a place a wonderful place to live and for me one of my biggest inspirations for Esmeralda and that has also been imbued and how we do the programming here at EDGE Esmeralda is a community in western New York called Chautauqua and it's a small town where my grandmother lives it's very far from New York City you should think of it almost more like the Midwest than New York and it's about 8,000 people did I just break out for a second okay that's a great idea thank you turns out the power button turns the microphone off who would have thought and it's about 8,000 people and

[14:09] it's it's it was built 150 years ago before the car and so even though people do have cars in Chautauqua it's really built around walking and biking or in my grandmother's case where she's not very mobile she has like a little electric scooter she uses to get around and people know their neighbors they sit on their front porches they sit in the plaza together and they're very connected to the whole community and but the thing I think that really makes Chautauqua special is the combination of that physical space with the programming that it runs so for nine weeks every summer they host a series of lectures and workshops and performances and kids camps I remember a lot of my favorite memories as a kid were you know walking out of the morning lecture with my parents with my family and bumping into our neighbor who maybe we just met and we have this shared experience beyond

[15:02] just how nice the weather is but we can we can talk about some amazing author or a performer that was just in town that day and it's a way of building much tighter relationships with your community because you have this incredible shared experience and so another thing that makes Chautauqua special is that it was built by and for America's great inventors during the Industrial Revolution so people like Thomas Edison and Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone and Lewis Miller they would come to Chautauqua for the summer to be there with their families and some of them ended up taking up permanent residence and so throughout the whole culture of Chautauqua it's really oriented around technological progress

[15:45] progress and another type of progress that has also been at the forefront for Chautauqua for a long time is social and cultural progress so Susan B Anthony and a lot of other people involved in the women's rights movements and especially around the 19th amendment actually started their their movements within Chautauqua and then brought it to the rest of the country and so just to give a little bit more of a sense of what it looks like it's centered around this beautiful town plaza it's got incredible venue spaces that the amphitheater that you're seeing in the bottom right corner holds 3,000 people which again to put into context Chautauqua only has 8,000 people and that 3,000 person venue gets filled up almost every single day in the summer so it's one where it's a community where people really come out to get to know their neighbors and be involved civically and even though I would only visit grandma for a few weeks every summer I feel like I know people in Chautauqua

[16:43] I feel better than many of my neighbors actually in California just because of the incredible social fabric created all around it and so one of the reasons it's been such a joy to get to collaborate with Janine and Timor and the whole Edge City team is something that I like to call the ladder of commitment so if you're building a new sort of a new place where you say you know this is where I'd like to have these events happen and these people come they it's hard it's hard it's a sell to just have something exist out of the blue you know there's there's a cold start problem that Janine mentioned and at the same time building trust and relationships with a local community takes time there are people who are already here in Sonoma County who we also want to have very much involved in this vision and building on what Sonoma already has

[17:32] um and so when I first started working on this like oh gosh four years ago now I'm gonna be old and gray by the time this is over um I think you know I was thinking okay at some point in the future once we've laid all of the literal infrastructure and like literally laid the foundation for this place then we'll get to see and like seed this culture and Janine and Timor came to me and said well we host these pop-up villages what if we actually try to start creating that vision of Chautauqua now and incorporating the local community and inviting people to come see what it could actually be like to to live it or visit a place like this before it exists um and that was the most amazing thing for me to hear uh because I think that such a long-term project and this is gonna probably take another five years before some of the first residences are ready and another and then full ten years just for the build out um you know being able to see that in the flesh early on and get that feedback loop

[18:32] um and and and I should say I mentioned this in the context of Chautauqua because that's actually how Chautauqua started as well it started just as a two week camping trip basically with a bunch of Sunday school teachers on the side of a lake and they had so much fun swapping books with each other and teaching each other things that they came back the next year and the next year and it grew and it they ended up getting more performers and people who were originally just camping there ended up building permanent houses and actually living there full time um on Saturday I'm gonna give a much more detailed talk about Esmeralda and how we're designing it and thinking about it but um sort of the two pieces that I like to really focus on are the hardware and the software so on the hardware I think the fact that Chautauqua and a town like Healdsburg and a town like Cloverdale the cores of those towns were all built before the car and I think that's really important for people to be able to uh stay in touch with their community

[19:30] um and so even though we're going to have coffee in the morning and so even though most neighborhoods built in uh the last 75 years have been oriented around driving we're going to go back to the way neighborhoods used to be built which are much more community oriented and much more uh uh oriented around active living um and independence for kids as opposed to uh being in a glass bubble and having road rage at people um um this is not a very common way to build these days but there have been a few projects like projects like this around the country that I find extremely inspiring um there's three uh up here on the screen and I've collected a whole database of them that I'd be happy to share if people are interested um but the thing that they have in common they all have different architectural styles they have um different uh industries locally they have different geography and everything but the thing that they have in common is that they're oriented around walking and biking and being out and about with your neighbors and when they have been built they've been

[20:30] incredibly popular and so basically I think we've been treating these types of walkable communities as a scarce resource in the united states and sadly in a growing part of the world um and I'd like us to return to those charming walkable communities where we can really get to know each other on the software side you're gonna get a lot more information about this as the week goes on so I won't go too deep into it because you're gonna basically be living it yourselves but I think the software is also an incredibly important piece of this which is the programming and events that bring people together because some people could live next to their neighbor for 10 years and never get to know their name and I think how do you create that social fabric that reverses that so on day one you're already getting to know your neighbor and becoming best friends

[21:11] um through the last two years of hosting Edge Esmeralda and through all the outreach that we've done throughout Sonoma County we have something called the Pioneers Club uh which is a way for people who are interested in buying a home in this future neighborhood or renting a home in this future neighborhood neighborhood saying hey I'd like to be first in line when these homes are built um these are gonna be open on an open market but when people uh sign up for this club it gives them an opportunity to be some of the first people to hear about the project um and specific homes that come online and so if if you're interested hit me up um I should have said at the beginning that this is a timeshare presentation I'm sorry uh effectively um but I will I will be wide open about that and uh there's a lot more information about this club as well

[21:57] um one of the last things I wanted to talk about is timeline so this is a very long-term project um as I mentioned uh right now we are still in the planning and design phase we haven't even gotten a shovel in the ground yet although hopefully we will pretty soon um the stage that we're at right now is that we've been the last two years doing extensive design and engineering work for all of the infrastructure that is going to be underlying this village um including the sewage the electrical the the grating which is like moving the soils and dirt around so things are flat where they need to be flat

[22:32] um and that design right now has been submitted to the city of Cloverdale and they are reviewing it and giving us feedback and once we have completed review from the city staff then uh it will go to the city council who will make a final decision about this project and that will be happening uh within the next few months um it also means that I'm going to be running around like a maniac answering people's questions especially locals um so I've been a little bit less involved with edge this year uh directly but it's also you know a really core

[23:04] part of this project is being allowed to do it um there's I won't go through every single year of this this 11 year timeline but probably the the moment that's going to be most exciting for most of you is when we actually finish building the hotel and deliver the first phase of homes um we expect that that will be around 2030 it could be a little earlier we this is a somewhat conservative timeline but it also could be later things often go wrong in construction um and in the meantime continuing to build the community and keep people connected is really important and working with edge has been a great part of that

[23:38] um and so with that I'm really grateful for you to all be here on so many levels we've learned a lot about the design of Esmeralda and its venue spaces and how to integrate with the community by hosting this event um so you guys really are part of my learning process and the whole team's learning process of how to make this project a success um and it's actually just very motivating as as I mentioned this is a really long-term project and sometimes I'm like wow I've been working on this for years and again we haven't even gotten a shovel in the ground so getting to wake up and and live in the village

[24:13] temporarily for you with you guys each year um has been a huge part of my personal motivation and for the team as well so I'm really grateful for you guys to be part of it and really grateful to Timur and Janine and the edge team for creating this incredible platform to collaborate um so thank you guys thank you so much Devin all right so now you guys should have a good idea of the longer term visions that we're building towards why this event came to be why it's such an interesting partnership for us

[24:47] i will quickly go through some specifics about the event i'm going to start with the community care culture that we create at edge um normally it would be jess louisbrand giving this talk she is there on the left but um she's at a wedding right now so it's going to be me but the key thing here is that we are overall trying to create the conditions and uh the space where trust belonging and collaboration can naturally emerge and so we have a few principles of the care culture that we're creating in this space

[25:22] the first is that we're all here to co-create and build the village like I mentioned we also have a culture of disagreeing respectfully so you can you know contribute meaningfully to conversations and debates and still be respectful in those disagreements we allow room for spontaneity but also leave time for jo mode the joy of missing out um when possible so there's going to be a lot on the calendar don't worry about going to everything it's you know be respectful to yourself your own time the people around you and that's kind of the core um insight there that we try to make sure everyone is in

[25:58] accordance with a very simple principle is ask first that could be you're taking a photo you want to go for a hug you you know there's other things consent is a very important thing it's about respecting autonomy across all interactions it's very easy to communicate these things get you know get consent um a few things to remember is that no is a complete sentence consent can be revoked at any time and that reparation is a sign of strength this is this is our team for community care

[26:31] we have jess kate and claire so if you see them around and you have any questions about this please reach out and we also have community care representatives who are volunteers in the community and now people who um will be you know also willing to get involved in whatever situations are relevant and you can find them and ask them any questions and we do actually look for volunteers there's only a week left but if you are interested in participating in the community ecology please reach

[28:44] okay so this is the map you'll see we have kind of two hubs uh we have uh uptown and a downtown uptown is where hotel trio is where some of you might be staying downtown is where we are now you're in the loft this is where most of the main programming happens and we also have the hub at 405 hillsberg avenue that's the co-working the kids hub there are some talks there as well and that's also where the wellness space is we have a lot of amazing residencies and programs you'll get to experience

[29:14] some of them this week and we also have really cool experiments like janine mentioned so we are trying to create the uh surface area for this kind of experimentation one that i'm particularly excited about is called the agent village it's again it's pinned at the top of the telegram chat or you can scan that qr code everyone in the village gets a um an ai agent it's called hermes it's a really good one we give you free credits to use it and all of your agents can talk to each other and negotiate on your

[29:44] behalf find opportunities for you it's just a really cool interesting thing that a lot of leading frontier ai organizations are specifically interested in what's happening here at edge so if you want to participate in that we highly recommend doing so a couple other experiments to jump into we have the connection lab which will happen here right after town hall and there's also the dynamic health index where you can wear a fitbit and get your data tracked there are a few others that are in the telegram

[30:17] as well so you know highly recommend getting involved in some of these we also have a knowledge uh graph knowledge base called geo where you can see all of the talks that have happened the transcripts of the talks are in there it links ideas between different talks i realize i'm throwing a lot at you but just fyi this exists and you'll see qr codes for it around and just to finish a couple of goals for the month slash for the remaining week we really hope that you move learn and make progress

[30:49] daily so move your body at least 30 minutes a day take a walk uh do some of the morning workout classes that we have learn something new every day every day is a school day here so you'll be meeting interesting people you'll be going to interesting talks um and make progress like i mentioned and be in a creating mindset and co-create the experience like we talked about and get involved in the experiments all right any questions and answers before we move on no it's perfectly clear awesome

[53:21] beach still which is great but uh yeah so that's cumulative over the month we have wait let me see if the next one is what i think it is oh yeah it is okay so does anybody want to guess how many rsvps we've had two events total cumulatively um as of an hour ago anyone want to throw out a number i heard 12 000 i heard 18 000 10 000 we've had 11 506 rsvps for session so far so that's pretty

[53:58] impressive i'm sure everybody went to every single one they rsvp to and yeah just very very impressive so keep that up and we also have some non-human attendees this month we have 243 agents we would love to get those numbers up so if you haven't set up your agent yet please do so you have you have something to add i could see you going for the mic i was just i was just gonna say that the agent village is actually becoming really fun now and my agent is i'm starting

[55:00] people and his agent tried to talk to my agent and my agent rejected the connection which caused some drama so if you want to if you want to be involved in village drama this is your best chance to catch up on that all right so how you know pictures worth a thousand stats what happened in the last seven days we had some amazing programming we had robert scoble here he's been in in the tech space for many decades we had beautiful fireside chats and connection the kids were building entire cities

[55:31] out of cardboard oh man did anyone go to the closing well the the showcase of the kids on friday yeah yeah it was amazing they're they're powering the the city with a guard orb so if you see the electrical uh i think it's they've just got you know little lights that are going from the guard orb that they've built over the course of the time here all the way to the city their their transport system on the ground is very impressive and if you haven't can if you haven't um supported the snack fair yet

[56:03] there's now actually two con competing cafes that are running in the hub so make sure you grab a cookie or a uh a bit of strawberries or something and it's really cheap it's they're doing they're doing pretty well very affordable prices at the kid snack fair um we had some great some more great sessions some more great hangs meditation by the pool lots of great meals and generally just a beautiful beautiful week and we're excited to uh to keep it going so one thing we like to do at town hall is just have a

[56:37] bit of like a brainstorm over you know what's working well what are some highlights what have people been enjoying and then also some things that are good learnings or reminders for this week um curious if anyone has anything to add for the highlights or what's been working well the first thing i would throw out is the consciousness party we had here yesterday sounded like that was amazing car is here nico is djing shout out nico that was a bit confusing to some people i had people reach out to me and they were like i thought i was going to the loft to meditate and there was a lot of

[57:41] later but is this karaoke now is it okay um i'll mention this again later but we have a talent show on thursday evening here at 8 p.m in this room it's gonna be amazing shock is leading that or kind of helping co-organize it yeah shout out shocker um and that will be really fun so if you have a poem if you have a performance if you have a song come to that on thursday and even if you don't we would love to have you here and and see all the talent in the community anyone else what else yeah back there

[1:00:00] start seeing certain projects that have been here go from like just ideas to like actual you know product market fit companies or uh prototyping that's that's working well i think one is the vibe coding residency just seeing what they've done with onboarding locals to ai has been really really awesome and has been super supportive i know that you've you've got a few sponsors trying to fly you out to different places to go and teach them and their companies about ai which is just really cool to see that happen here

[1:07:50] whimsical pink house as yet yes beautiful so the long journey house is backed by long journey ventures and they're one of a kind uh what i really love about them is they support founders that change the magically weird ideas which will dive into a little bit further um also for some of you have already been here one of the things that used the joy safari they also did motion raven theater uh the main team is on the ground and they've put on some incredible programming there is one more joy safari

[1:08:23] happening on monday and there's a very magical jacket involved um which actually belongs to someone famous if you haven't signed up yet i suggest you do amazing i'm gonna dive in so for some of you that don't know who the residents are you might know us as the most fantastic chefs at edges maralda which is true you might not know us as the group that hosts conspiracy then a theory the conspiracy theory dinners and non-consensus dinners which is also true you might know us as a bunch of really peculiar tree

[1:09:00] huggers which is also true or the outdoor exercise warriors wearing funky hats also true you might know us as the space crashes that arrive at parties wearing whimsical suits and also we do have a telescope in our backyard where we watch the stars and the moon because we have space experts in our cohort also true but the long journey residency is so much more than that this is all our residents as as well as the fellows we have 10 exceptional founders

[1:09:35] working on their bold ideas across orbital refueling ocean robotics air memory systems clinical trial intelligence just to name a few so far we've done six workshops at age esmeralda to name a few the future of clinical trials by liz the case of living on the moon by richard and economic impacts of ai talk by hobi so we have some really really really incredible knowledge in this residency we've also worked with local communities and med collaborators just to share a story with you um one of our founders went to go to

[1:10:11] local tile factory and also worked with local wine makers to understand why they haven't integrated more technology into the current ways of doing things and he's actually spoken to them and he's going to be running projects in the future which i also think is quite important when we come to edge is how can we work with the locals and support them uh they've also conducted research and tested their products on the ground uh helen has been running an experiment here um i'm sure some of you actually signed up to it as well with her app trove and then lastly they connected with potential

[1:10:44] funders we've got some funding in the pipeline and secured new clients so yeah there's been some really really incredible results in only three weeks so you might also ask me why am i being so ambiguous i'm not introducing you to these incredible founders who are these 10 people but i have there's madness to my thoughts as helena would say halt i'm about to tell you what it's all about and long journey is doing our demo day on monday where i will be able to showcase the 10 amazing founders to you

[1:12:27] for one month and the idea behind that is really just to kind of see what emerges from from doing this uh it's been a very interesting month so far um just before we dive into it just a couple of uh notable highlights that we've we've had uh weekly family dinners have been a thing that we've done it's been really epic to have everyone around the table um some really good conversation we've had great food out with the z prime team they've taken us out to a really really great restaurant we've got another one coming up which i think everyone's excited for um so it won't be

[1:12:58] won't be the nuts and fruit and yogurt and snacks that we've got at the house anymore um there's a monster hill oh so the hot the hot tub party is also something we had last week um which was great and we're probably going to have another one in the coming week so keep an eye out on the chat on the calendar for that uh we've got a monster hill that we have to get up to each day we're on bikes and uh we're burning at least 500 calories just to get up there so that's also been quite a bonding experience for some of us um sunday sunday demo days have also been really great

[1:13:28] um we had a workshop by kai who's a a thiel fellow and a founder of cryo pets uh he was invited by the z prime team to come and give a workshop there's been lots of late night product demos going on and the daily lounge hangouts at the z prime hq are definitely something to be remembered by everybody um here are a couple of pictures of of things going on top uh top left we've got uh io who has cooked a delicious meal for everybody explaining what he'd what he'd made that was jerk chicken which was really great um then bottom bottom over there we we're doing our demos um top right that's us having

[1:14:05] a delicious meal with the z prime team uh top left we've got the edge the edge team who came over for one of our family dinners which was really great we made a spaghetti bolognese um which was nice homely meal and then some of the founders just chilling and again um taking it easy at the at the hq uh things got a little a little wild here here on the we've got people chilling on the roof they were just having a look at what's uh what's out there there's a lot of lock-in carson top right has

[1:14:38] been uh seen smoking cigarettes and drinking yoga mate uh sitting on the benches we've got the hot tub parties this is in the middle at the bottom that's uh that was last night at 2 30 a.m um that's what i came home to find and um yeah just a lot of really epic times with uh with all the founders so i'll quickly just run through who everyone is yas is building credibility credibility layer for the internet uh called cassandra in this month he's refined sandra into a chrome extension we've got io who's bringing um he's basically taking the energy bringing new um energy to the grid

[1:15:12] faster with the abundance company and he's cracked an entirely new revenue model thanks to rashab who's in this picture um we've got rashab and kim with native who are helping founders incorporate and get set up on the business side with ease they've got over the month eight paying customers which is equivalent to 24k in in revenue i'll leave it for two seconds if you if you want to join their event later this week you can scan that they are hosting an event later this week and they asked me to shill it so did them a solid um we've got eric um who's been working on hippocampal ai uh he's come

[1:15:48] up with sort of the first instantiation of his of his product uh which is uh after philip pullman's damon which understands uh environmental context and then infers intent from that and then we've got akshai who's uh using cryptographic cryptographic proofs um to let agents be audited um and that'll be sold to insurance companies uh and this month he's joined a four accelerator and raised some money from them and then we've got aditya who's working on prana um he's he's in the back over there um he's he's

[1:16:26] pivoted for his idea from something that he kind of was working on to the real dream idea uh which is a full stack fitness um fitness uh i guess a space a protocol and an app all in one um and then we've got carson and sever working on sida it's uh it's operation management for psyops is probably the easiest way to describe it um to detect and counter narratives online um and yeah here they met uh for the first time at edge after five years of being uh just online together they knew each other for five

[1:16:58] years and we're working together but this was the first time they'd met um and then we got dion um who's working on mantis hack um he's a he's a hacker that's shipping fast um building security in the agentic age and he's hacked 300 companies who are potential customers and is now raising funds um samantha with elsewhere she was she joined us for the first two weeks she's unfortunately left but added a great vibe to the to the residency um high hustle high agency and she's yeah really building something very interesting in the irl space um she did a matcha pop-up for the z prime and

[1:17:32] long journey house which was really great um and then finally lucy who's become a new honoree member of the z prime house she's been awarded the the z prime key award um so she got the spare keys she's really added a ton of value and just been an epic epic person to have around lots of ideation lots of help um and then yeah um you guys are all invited to the final demo days which will be happening on wednesday this coming week um the venue is tbd but it'll be probably wednesday here in the loft if i can find the right slot and um yeah special thanks to the z prime team matty cam uh tadas and alex for

[1:20:18] so thank you edge city for allowing us to have this experiment and thank you everyone for showing up and bringing your weirdest self and thank you for all the production team and volunteer to help make the whole thing happen and helping with cleaning up um and i want to just quickly talk about this week we have um i think it was week four and i feel like it's the last week where there's been a lot of going on and people get very overwhelmed so um we thought it would be nice to offer some space for you

[1:20:52] to try partner body work so we have our lovely body worker come in here and she will be offering body work on one and a half hour every day from monday to friday so if you feel the exhaustion in your body and you want to get a partner massage for an hour and a half just wanted to let you know that's available for everyone for that time and i think that's pretty much it oh yeah and then we'll organize some hikes if you want to get in out into nature more and that's it that's awesome actually
