Duration: 01:32:33 Transcribed: 2026-06-13 · whisper large-v3-turbo · language: en --- [00:00] a town hall after this and this orientation is really a chance to get a sense of what's going on this month what is this all about what even is edge what is esmeralda how are they related we found that in the past we didn't have something like this and then there were a ton of questions so it's just really helpful to go through this when people first arrive you also you know can see the people around you who are also just arriving and get a sense of who will be here this week so it's a quick agenda we'll touch on edge we'll touch on esmeralda we'll have a quick update [00:36] on community care and then a few like practical details logistical to get you oriented and um and then we'll go into the town hall which is kind of a weekly tradition we have where we have a chance to recap the week um and then give you a sense of what to expect this following week touch on some of the experiments this month and then right after that there'll be a really fun exercise in here called the connection lab that is definitely worth sticking around for okay so i'm just going to start with what is edge city um so we are the edge side of edge esmeralda you'll hear about what esmeralda is in [01:11] a second and we talk about our work as creating a society incubator so what does that actually mean we do three things primarily we create these kinds of events um we call them month-long pop-up villages generally attracting folks at the frontiers of technology science culture art philosophy etc we also incubate and institutions and even large-scale you know new town projects and we are doing a lot of increasingly more and more grant making and field building so we support grant programs kind of core [01:47] fundamental research in fields like consciousness and ai we've been around for about two and a half years we've had over 12 000 people at our events um people from over 100 countries represented we ran that start recently which is kind of cool like super just yeah awesome um hundreds of startups and projects you know a lot in um grant funding raise as well and we've had almost 200 kids at our events which is really a core part of what we're trying to do here and we've had the privilege of working with [02:18] some of the kind of world's leading um organizations as well so this is the edge world map um as you can see we've we've been all over and a couple of these nodes are actually starting to become permanent which is really exciting and during this month we're actually going to kind of formally announce the next location so watch out for that as well just briefly on the approach that we use in the uh villages that we create so you know this experience that you're at now we generally like to uh gather between 500 [02:52] who are curious kind and high agency we really try and create an environment that's the size of a village but has the dynamism of a city in terms of the ideas the people you're meeting the things that are possible and we've seen people come and really achieve many months of progress in a month just through the connections they're making the the people they're meeting and uh you know incubating we run a bunch of residencies and tracks which you'll get a chance to see and we have four main principles that are kind of our design principles for how we actually create these things so the first is that [03:27] we aim for this to be a default healthy experience with you know good food time and nature connection with other people and everyone should hopefully leave feeling a little healthier and kind of you know higher well-being than when they arrived um we also care about these events being very multi-disciplinary so there are people from all sides of technology and science um society here we see a lot of interesting interaction between people and where the edges of different fields intersect and that's something that we're really excited to encourage more of [04:02] the third is that we focus on building and co-creating so we really hope everyone ships something while they're here and um everyone also co-creates the experience with each other so every event that you see on the calendar aside from this one and the town hall is organized by an attendee like someone that's actually coming here and participating just like you so please take that as an invitation to get involved in that go to sessions meet the folks and see what you can create together i've got some trash uh don't just leave it around for someone else to pick up please go and [04:50] put that in the trash can yourself good reminder um cool and the final one is operational so you'll see kids running around um you'll see kind of spaces created for kids this is really important and kind of a core part of what we're doing here there are so many parts of society where kids are completely separate from adults and it's just you know it's very difficult to find places where there's full integration and this is one of them and so we hope you really enjoy that and over time you know [05:24] eventually bring your families bring your kids as well and on that note we've got a kid's house that has an entire sort of kids camp families camp really going on we like to frame it as a space for families not just a space for kids a lot of the time we think about kids camp and school as like that's only where kids go but this is sort of a place that families can go and those that are curious uh or want to to support uh the the kids program and the the families that are out there it's a house uh on [06:00] mason street so you can learn more about that by reaching out to one of us or reaching out in the broader chat awesome so ultimately we're basically just trying to create a really incredible environment for people and their families and friends to spend time fine you know uh come here learn from each other build together and actually flourish yourselves and hopefully as as we all flourish our ideas start to flourish too there's a lot of a you know there's a wide breadth of experience [06:31] available here there's also depth of connection available so we've seen people really connect much faster and deeper than you would at just like a normal conference or someone you happen to meet at you know an event in the city and from that a lot of amazing collaborations form so we would love to you know see more of that and we definitely encourage you to to get involved um to give a few examples of what has flourished out of the last couple of years we'd love to just give a few case studies so you have an idea of what's possible here and i'll hand over to janine to do that yeah i can [07:06] just dive in here next so one of them would be startups uh we've found that this has become an amazing environment to create companies whether sort of you're finding your co-founder here or you're iterating and testing an idea here it's a great place to get people to test and prototype what you're building so constellation is a company that someone came last year really with an idea and were was able to to build the largest multimodal data set of its kind around um sort of a project they had people [07:43] with you know headsets on doing tests on a daily basis they had an ai pendant that people were wearing they had devices that people were tracking um some of their biometrics around and from that off off the back of that they were able to raise around find two of their team members and really get the project kicked off and it was a large part to actually having the data here at esmeralda that made it happen and it just raised 10 million dollars uh recently as like a first round after we did the seed [08:21] round last year another area has been around applied research uh we've found that there have been a lot of researchers that come to edge think about ideas here iterate on them get people to share more and then actually fund research studies we have helped fund those research studies in a lot of ways one of them being in phase of computation um one of the first talks in this area was hosted at edge esmeralda after the idea was developed and the paper was put out at zuzlu which was our like first iteration trial [08:55] of edge and that has then sparked interest from a number of different people that want to get the field really growing so they invested in the research and pushing that forward we now have a research team that is actually exploring vasocomputation and in the third week we'll be running a sort of mini trial experiment of sorts so if anyone wants to go through a tre uh trauma release exercise or acupuncture and doing a pre and post experiment of just having a ultrasound a butterfly ultrasound device on them to [09:32] find different arteries and see what they're looking like please reach out lastly field building has been an area that we really care about as a space that talks about being in frontier tech science and society we actually want to see field building happen field building is hard and it takes many years but building both the culture around a new field as well as the science around it is important to us so coming off of what's been happening both in phasal computation and another a whole bunch of folks that have been [10:07] interested in the consciousness field being at edge we are really trying to steward a culture that's putting this field taking off and um progress in the space so we've had both a residency in the space thank you uh we i feel like i've got to like eat this mic to to anyone to hear me um uh we we've both got a residency in the space at calderwood inn if you're interested please stop by uh we have a number of experiments that are [10:42] happening in the field while we're here and then we're partnering with a lot of the big organizations in the space to figure out what can we do to make the culture around this something that people really latch on to and get excited about seeing this future um future field be real in the world so that's that's a little bit about our field building and then final final different ways we talk about co-creation we talk about you know creation versus consumption it really makes a difference for us if we're bringing [11:17] builders to edge and one thing the inflection fellowship we bring six to eight fellows under the age of 25 that are early in their idea stage of just like trying to explore something new and different in the world it's not always about a startup it's about really pushing forward an idea that might not exist otherwise if it weren't for them to both have about like belief bubbles around people how can we put these amazing belief bubbles around incredible people in the world and help them achieve their goals [11:50] and be in a space that is very interesting where people are both interested in them but they can be interested in everyone else around and meet a ton of interesting people fellows this week mentioned that in the past week he has met more interesting people than he has in the past 20 years of his life and i think that is something we hope to achieve for not just the fellows that are here but anyone who you know wants to call themselves a builder awesome yeah we can also you know it's it's an [12:27] intimate group so we can do like little snaps and oh and one one final thing is that we do work with a kind of in collaboration with new permanent hubs you'll hear about one in a minute and we've been doing a lot of interesting work in um in bhutan as well running residencies there with a new city project that the government is um is building currently okay so just to finish up there i want to give a sense of what is the actual vision what are we trying to build and i want to start with just talking about how throughout [13:03] time there have been many experiments many groups coming together to discuss debate and imagine what comes next in building a brighter future there are many examples up here there's the you know often cited 18th century salons in paris that led to the enlightenment there's the chautauqua movement which devon will touch on it's back mountain college sfi etc and these institutions these groups these movements have all been critical in ushering in what comes next and really there are there are collection of people that come together at a certain time to discuss debate collaborate build and so [13:39] our take is that this kind of gathering this pop-up city is an interesting for that kind of experimentation and experimenting with how we live with how we build technology and ultimately how to you know generate new ideas that could help improve society we are at this interesting surface you know this surface area is at this kind of interesting point here where you know this is a diagram with number of people on the y-axis time on the x-axis they're both log scale and you know each of these levels of organization has its own emergent phenomena that [14:14] are um present and we think that there is something interesting at this gap where you know we a month is long enough where you can actually run a meaningful experiment you can build trust you can build something very interesting especially nowadays but it's short enough that it we can stay you know experimental we can be flexible and you know ultimately these villages are a really cool way to bootstrap a community that will be developing these ideas and spreading them throughout the world and why is that actually important now well i think you know pretty clear the world is moving through [14:51] a moment of transition and the current set of cultures institutions you know ways of governing were the right answer to a prior set of conditions and we now need to invent our own um doesn't mean we need to reinvent everything but we do need to figure out ways to make things more internet native ai native etc and you know every institution and culture is ultimately a reflection of the people that create it and there and that you know and the spaces and environments that those people are spending time so you know some ideas will come from traditional think tanks maybe accelerators etc and [15:27] our thesis is that new ones could potentially come from environments like this as well where we get interesting high agency people to come together and you know think about what comes next on that note i had someone say to me this this week now i've got all these fun anecdotes from from people this week um someone attended the psychedelics documentary film screening this past week and uh came to me afterwards and was like you know i really got to learn about just like how psychedelics can change your mind and [15:57] create these like incredible opportunities and just like change the way you think in the best way and i kind of feel like edge is that for me and it was kind of this moment of like there is social technology here that's people joining and colliding and spending time together there's kind of this like coming up of like wow anything is possible so it does only exist in this container in some weird magical way and we still haven't figured out exactly why but while you're in this magical container and we all along [16:29] for the ride like use it to the best of your advantage wonderful all right so to introduce probably one of the most exciting uh experiments or projects that is going to be discussed this month please give some snaps for devin zugel thank you actually hi everybody i'm devin i'm the founder of esmeralda which timor and janine are sort of the edge side of edge esmeralda and i'm bringing the [17:00] esmeralda a bit um and i just wanted to speak a little bit about the belief janine we're just talking about um basically with esmeralda what we're building is an entire new permanent village and we see edge esmeralda as a prototype for that permanent village and this is just 15 minutes up the road from where we are right now in a town called cloverdale and um those belief bubbles i mean really edge esmeralda is a giant belief bubble for this entire project uh we'll [17:31] talk a little bit more about timeline for esmeralda in a moment but it's a 10-year endeavor at a minimum just to build it out let alone to live in it and really experience it um and the that's a very long iteration cycle and so doing these pop-up villages which now this is our third one uh we're coming i can't believe we're already back for the third time um it's a way to see some of the ideas in action that we actually want to transplant into that permanent home and it's been incredibly motivating for me and [18:03] for my entire team to see what it is that we're building in in person um because i think when you have such a long-term project it can be it can be challenging to actually be like well are we even headed in the right direction um and so a little bit about esmeralda uh right now for a large property 15 minutes north of here um the lighting is a little bit bright but you can see here some photos of the land it's really beautiful classic sonoma county landscape um and a big part of the inspiration [18:33] for what we're building is a small town in western new york called chautauqua um has anyone here heard of chautauqua by any chance show of hands okay a handful a handful um some of you because i've talked your ear off about it probably um chautauqua is this incredible town of about 8 000 people in western new york was built about 150 years ago before the car so most people walk or they bike around chautauqua my grandmother now that she has trouble walking she goes around on a little scooter [19:04] um but it's this really charming walkable town much like hieldsburg and much like what esmeralda will be um something else that makes chautauqua really special is for the last 150 years every summer for nine weeks they host lectures workshops kids camps this might be sounding a little bit familiar really it's a lot like edge esmeralda and i like to think of it kind of like a college campus for families and this creates an incredibly tight-knit community where everybody has shared context it's kind of [19:36] like you're back in university again people walk out of the morning lecture every single day and they have something to talk about with their neighbor beyond just the weather and some of the history of chautauqua is really special too it was founded during the industrial revolution and some of the great inventors of the time like henry ford harvey firestone thomas edison and many more would go to chautauqua for the summer with their families and actually the hotel in chautauqua was the very first one that was ever lit by edison's light bulbs and that was just a summer project for for edison where [20:09] he said you know it'd be cool to have a hotel have light bulbs wouldn't it um and so chautauqua was hugely inspirational for me although because i'm originally from california um i i exist near the bay area and i think that the bay area is really the epicenter for the today's industrial revolution whatever they're going to call it uh you know 150 years from now and so i think it makes sense to have our own version of chautauqua here um here are a few other photos from chautauqua uh you know when when this originally [20:42] started it was just a bunch of people camping by a lakeside but over the course of the last 15 decades they've built this great infrastructure including an amphitheater that holds 3 000 people again remember it's a town of only 8 000 people so the fact that they fill that amphitheater on a daily basis in the summer is is really something they have a library basically every single home has a front porch and the front porch is the most every single house where you sit outside and you get to know your [21:12] neighbors as they walk by me so here's a photo of my family in chautauqua on the steps and at times we've had four generation four generations of my family at chautauqua at the same time everything from babies all the way to the great grandparents and so i remember when janine and timor came to me i guess three and a half years ago now saying let's let's do this edge esmeralda thing together i was looking through edges principles and how it designs these pop-ups and i was like this just [21:44] sounds exactly like esmeralda so it was a very exciting um that's me i've grown up a little bit since then thankfully um and so with chautauqua i like to think of things as there's the hardware and the software and i think uh the hardware is the physical place the the urbanism in in healdsburg's case it's the incredible sort of the the community's living room and then there's also the software uh and i think edge city has been developing incredible community software over the last [22:17] several years um and uh this you know i think i have something to admit which is that you're all basically sitting in a giant timeshare presentation so i apologize um but we're going we're building this permanent community and we see edge esmeralda as an opportunity for people to experience what that community could be like before they have to actually go buy a home or or get a rental for the summer um and so we over the last two years that we've done edge esmeralda and now the third we've [22:49] already gotten buyer commitments for the entire first phase of esmeralda in large part from folks who've attended this event and gotten to know their future neighbors and experienced what that's like um so that that's a really important piece of uh what's driving esmeralda because i think people tend not to move somewhere new especially if it's a brand new community unless they know somebody else who's there and so you end up with this cold start problem that requires a little kick and edge esmeralda is exactly that um talking a little bit more about the hardware i think uh in the u.s most places that have [23:25] been developed in the last 75 years or so really since since the car has become dominant uh have been really oriented around cars first and while i have a car and um i think it's a very designing our cities and especially our small towns around a more walkable um neighborhood oriented feel uh is really important and um kobe lefkowitz who is going to actually be here the very last week he uh has this this great tweet that i love saying like why don't we have just one city in the u.s that looks like this [23:58] and i actually think there are a few they tend to be on the east coast built a long time ago but i think we treat them as a scarce resource and there's no reason we can't build places like this again a few of them have been built uh over the last few decades and they've been incredibly popular some that you might be familiar with book near seattle um there's a bunch in the florida panhandle that i find really inspiring and then also uh some in georgia and costa rica but they're really few and far between and it's a movement that's starting to grow and expand and a bunch of the founders of [24:31] these small towns are going to be attending the environments of tomorrow week at the very end of edge esmeralda um one of the lessons that we draw from chautauqua is this idea of a ladder of commitment and again this is where the pop of villages really play a huge role so i mentioned chautauqua started as a bunch of people camping for two weeks on the side of a lake and they enjoyed it so much that they came back again and again and it grew into more of an institution and most people aren't going to just move somewhere if they haven't even seen it before or if they don't know other people involved but if [25:04] you can kind of prime that pump and get people coming now suddenly it creates a gravity of its own ball um i already talked a little bit about the the pioneers club but i just want to say if anybody's interested in learning more we have an email list where you can follow along on our on the project um and for a bit of a sense of timeline we have a long road ahead of us i've already been working on this project for three years um and we're actually about to go up for approvals with the the local government uh so wish us luck um right now we're sort of deep in local outreach and communicating about [25:43] what we're doing so that we that those votes go really smoothly um once that happens we're going to build the infrastructure right now the land is basically empty it's very beautiful but it actually was a former lumber mill that was decommissioned um and once we've built the infrastructure then we're going to start building the houses hotels uh retail shops and things like that um and so we anticipate uh you know after we've um gotten the approval sure to be built out and the first homes [26:17] and hotel should be delivered in about 2030 um which is uh we think a realistic timeline it's not the most optimistic it could go faster but it could also certainly go slower um and so anyways this is this is esmeralda i would love to talk to you guys all about it uh throughout the month i'll be hosting tours of the land it's just 15 minutes up highway 101 and it's a really beautiful way to spend the day i'd love to hike hike the land with you all so thank you very much and thank you to janine and timor for [26:48] creating a giant belief bubble around what my team and i are working on and on that note it really is as as people that go around and try and find towns that are good fits for what we're building um there are very few places that exist without a lot of design constraints right now so seeing something like esmeralda be built and continuing to support it in any way you can i think it's just a huge huge value add it's also i realized this recently probably the first us town to be built [27:24] after fully self-driving cars will be online and waymo announced that they'll be going up to sonoma right encapsulate we're the last stop on the waymo train so you know you can hop in your car take a nap wake up in a beautiful sonoma town in 2030 which is like really soon actually relatively um all right so next up we have an important um part of the orientation focused on connection and community care for that please give some snaps [28:01] for just lou brand thank you timor thank you janine um so i'm just lou brand uh so nice to meet all of you guys i'm the wellness uh lead and the uh community care lead and the connection lead this year at edge um so that means i'll be programming a lot of the wellness events the connection activities and the community care um i've been in the wellness space for about 15 years facilitating across yoga breath work sound healing and meditation um where people feel safe to share to be seen to be held um and overall just like a sense of belonging [28:39] so uh it's really nice to meet you guys and if you're interested in any of those things i would love to chat with you later um so principles of community care uh number one we're all in this together so part of that means for like caring for one another it also means caring about yourself um understanding that we all come from different backgrounds disciplines communication styles and realizing that this diversity is what makes edge so strong and so powerful you'll hear us often talk about disagreeing respectfully we don't need to agree on any everything to just collaborate [29:14] meaningfully because here you will find that curiosity is just way more important than certainty we encourage spontaneity and exploration so please say yes to new experiences but then also on the other side of that please enjoy the joy of missing out finding balance and honoring your limits is what allows you to show up fully when you do and at the heart of all of this is just basically respect for yourself for others for boundaries shared experiences shared spaces and [29:46] also privacy as a community that we're working in between the intersection of culture of ai of technology of science we recognize the importance of privacy and consent so please be mindful when you're sharing stories uh taking and um and discussing others outside of the space where that conversation takes place so honor privacy practice discretion and obtain consent before sharing information whether that's photography recordings names etc um this is our home like janine said so we'd really like to take care of it [30:21] and it does take a village to really create this entire experience um as far as community care and consent goes we have an ask first culture here at edge which means asking before hugging someone perhaps joining a conversation um asking first just creates a sense of trust and everything can be built on trust like collaboration like belonging like the village like just a sense of like a sort of family um a few things to remember that uh consent is about respecting uh autonomy across all interactions so remember no is a complete [30:56] sentence consent can be revoked at any time your impact matters and reparation is a sign of strength what matters most is how we respond when our actions had an unintended consequence and behaviors that are repeatedly ignored just have no place at edge so community care stewards i don't know if claire and kate are here today but it's me claire and kate as you can see on the board um we are the community care stewards um and so we are here for you if there's some sort of interaction or just something that you feel [31:28] like you want to talk to someone we're here for you to chat um if something feels uncomfortable or concerning uh you don't need to navigate it alone we are here for you to support you and as we receive more volunteers they will be posted here and we already have some so tess and steve and alex i don't know if any of those guys are here alex is in the back yay hi alex um so what we're doing is we're building just a team of representatives and so these are also three new volunteers that are helping us around the village [31:59] so if you see them they're just a familiar face that you can talk to them you can sit with them and then um yeah they're they're all here hate um has created was there's this little like sunflower bracelet so if you see anyone wearing a tiny sunflower bracelet it means we're available and on for you to talk to so community care resources um our resources include the community care principles our full accountability framework as well as our community care report form these are all pinned in [32:31] the community care channel on telegram so you can just go to our telegram find community care and you'll see all the resources pinned at the top and you can also always speak with me kate or claire or any other community care representatives we're also looking for more volunteers so if this sounds fun to any of you guys we meet every tuesday at the wellness hub and i just go over a little bit of an orientation we go over some practice scenarios practice statements and just you can also always reach [33:01] out to me personally on telegram which you can see my at jess louisbrand right there and then um we have a uh recharge edge sign up spreadsheet uh kate was so amazing that she got some wellness practitioners to come every weekend so this weekend we had a lady named mary who is an osteopath who is giving free 15 minute sessions and you could sign up for those so if you guys want to take a photo of that the practitioner will change every single weekend but that is available to you lastly these are just a [33:33] sample of some of our community care and connection events so we have yoga almost every morning except for wednesdays we have qigong we have wellness meet and greets where wellness people can combine with like consciousness residency who has certain devices and we can sort of like play with what's possible as far as experimentation we had ecstatic dance this morning we'll have it again wednesday evening we have wind down um evenings every night at hotel trio next to the sauna and we have connection lab later today which is super exciting that i think a lot of you have signed up for and then [34:08] there's also like various other events like the void in the schedule or an hour of silence we have tea ceremonies almost every day and sound baths three days a week so this just creates a culture of wellness of wholeness and embodiment um we talk so much and like network so much during these events so it's really nice just to ground down and feel embodied and also just share on a very personal level so thank you guys for all being here um thank you for being brave enough to be vulnerable and i would love to chat with you later and thank you we're so glad you're here and on that i i've had [34:46] time i see i see my front row sticking with the snaps thank you boys but we can i think we're big enough now to to graduate to the clapping portion of the uh of the evening one thing i will add there so much in the calendar there are so many people to meet everyone's incredible i must prioritize that at all times i took two an hour yesterday to join the last part of the journey breath work because of the week so i can only recommend taking the time to actually attend something that does just [35:18] turn your brain off for a minute or 10 minutes because it might open your brain up for a better conversation later love that all right to finish up very quickly let's quickly get oriented this good reminder for the people coming in as well coming for the town hall so telegram is our main method of communication love it or hate it it's the best thing we found so far if you're building a petster let us know there is a couple of pinned there are a couple of pinned channels at the top one is called [35:49] read this first please read that another is called organizer announcements that's the one thing that you should leave unmuted you can mute the rest if you'd like and there is a subgroups channel which lists all of the telegram subgroups that people have created for specific topics if you want to go really deep and nerd out on something uh you can create one just dm it to me and i will put it into that list if you have not done this yet please write an intro in the intros channel this is like a serendipity maximization machine many many you know potentially some many people will reach out to you [36:24] you'll meet some cool folks and share what you're interested in your intentions for being here and please share a picture because that really helps and and is anyone confused about where the intros channel is all of you will put intros in there i i do still think it is the absolute best way and to find you and to spur a lot of interesting conversations perfect we also have the edge os that is where the calendar is if the telegram is too noisy for you you can just look at the calendar some folks [37:00] do that um one person has been here the whole week it didn't even know there was a telegram he was just showing up to the events on the calendar which is great um there is also information there for meal plans which you can sign up for by friday midnight for the following week and uh lastly if you go to tinyurl.com uh should be ee26 wiki you will get the wikipedia page which has all of the key information uh sorry internal wiki not yet wikipedia um we'll get there so this is the village map you'll uh [37:36] hopefully have already done a bit of a tour but you'll see that there's kind of two clusters there is an uptown where hotel trio is that is where the sauna is that goes until 10 pm every evening and then people generally hang out there until probably 11 or 12 each evening um the sauna does shut at 10 but there is a cool cozy room to hang and then um we have the downtown which is where we are now the loft this room is where most of the main programming talks will be happening and there is also a uh programming space called the flex space in the hub at 405 healdsburg just a 60 second walk from here [38:11] there will be programming there as well that's also where you have the wellness space and the co-working we have a lot of amazing residencies and programs this year we'll touch on what's coming up this week in the town hall um but you'll get a chance to experience them all while you're here a couple of goals for you for this month this is also a good reminder for the folks who heard this already we would really love for you to move learn something and make progress daily so this is kind of a daily rhythm make sure you move your body 30 times a day 30 times a day yeah at least that [38:46] 30 minutes a day and we have uh yoga classes we have run club we have other in the evening there's volleyball hopefully badminton soon pretty much every evening make sure you learn something daily every day is a school day here uh make progress on something if you can ship something post something online you know etc make sure you co-create the experience and get involved in the experiments which we'll talk about at the town hall as well all right very briefly any yeah i got a question yeah hit me [39:19] there's a lot that you just threw at us what is one thing this week that people should be excited about and try and get engaged with every day agent that is i'm so glad you asked so there is um there's incredible cool experiments that we're running called the agent village we highly recommend people get um onboarded to that i'm actually just gonna put the link up now um if you don't know what this is scan this qr code you can also go to the url that this qr leads to on your laptop makes it a little bit easier to sign up we are giving you [39:53] free money or free inference compute which is even better than money uh especially these days becoming very expensive to run compute we have currently you'll get at least 25 bucks but it's gonna probably go up to like 100 if you sign up soon and that is a lot of tokens you can spend on asking your agent lots of really cool stuff the agent knows how to navigate the village it knows how to connect you with people and it's just going to be a really good time i'm also while we're here just going [40:25] to put this up we have a really cool partnership with notion this takes about 30 seconds to fill out maybe 60 seconds and they will give you a ton of free ai credits they'll give you a free plan and it's um three months of notion business which is usually quite expensive the ai credits are also quite expensive next week they will actually be here on the ground running a ton of workshops on how you can use the new dev platform and all their cool new ai tools notion is really going for it they're doing [40:57] incredibly well so we highly recommend getting involved in that very quickly any questions thoughts before we move into the town hall portion okay i see some thumbs up i think that's a universal sign of it was all very clear all right let's take a 60 second break i encourage you to kind of stand up stretch move your body a little bit shock is going to play 60 seconds of music and then we'll recap we'll regather for the town hall thank you all right everybody we're going to get started if you want [44:55] to grab a seat don't worry the first exercise is you get to continue talking all right if you're standing up if you're standing up you can grab a seat i'm going to start calling on people by name [45:38] it's my favorite activity sergio sergio hunt sergio grab a seat federico i see you standing if you can hear me clap once if you can hear me clap twice if you can hear me clap three times amazing all right let's grab a seat guys and we'll get started yeah this mic is it's being a little trickier today than usual yeah come on in if you're in the kitchen [46:15] you know grab a seat it's gonna be fun everyone loves hanging out in the kitchen the first thing we're gonna do we're actually gonna keep chatting but in a seated position we're just gonna get into small groups of four or five and answer minutes what was a highlight from week one and what is something that you're excited about this coming week if you just arrived that's totally okay still give a highlight from your past seven days people want to know what you've been up to before coming here and and i'm gonna add one more to that which is like what is the commitment you want to make this week [46:47] just like voicing it might be helpful like there's so much going on that sometimes just coming back to your commitment of like i want to meditate every single day or i want to meet one new person every single day that you can check on at the end of your day when you're like whoa that day went in a thousand different directions it's just really helpful so maybe bring that into your conversation today all right shock is going to play some very light music and we'll just chat for about three four minutes and if you're not next to anyone you could turn around and meet some folks all right folks let's finish our last sentences if you can hear me clap once if you can hear me clap [51:36] twice if you can hear me clap three times if you can hear me clap four times if you're still talking at the back let's bring our conversation so close you can come grab a seat we'd love to have you up front here awesome so we did it guys we did week one congratulations we had 181 sessions this past week [52:08] that's a lot that's a lot of sessions what's that on average like 25 a day it's a lot um over 300 people checked in into the village now as of this morning so a bunch more people arrived that includes you know day pass folks that's quite a lot of people and we we have about 240 people that are here for the whole month yeah so that's great last year we had 120 so it's bigger does anyone want to guess [52:40] how many rsvps we had on the events you know the number of sessions you know number of people how many are tabitha we have 1500 yes steve 2200 okay we're going up 15 000 okay do i have a do i have another taker 8 000 650 last guess 4 000 oh i think we have a winner 5540 right at the end snuck in there [53:14] wow that's a lot that's a lot of rsvps what i've been doing is i've been sending when people talk about cool sessions and the share your session chat i'll just forward it to my agent and say rsvp and it will just put it on my calendar which is awesome so highly recommend that just a couple of kind of image um you know recounting what happened a couple of image no a couple of images um so we had the opening ceremony which was really beautiful we've had a ton of amazing connection moments a lot of [53:48] sport being played including some pretty extreme night i i have i have one one thing to to to pick a bone with people no one showed up to run club last year and club this year which either is a sign that sophie and i did a terrible job of run club and no one gave us feedback on it or it's a sign that scott um live are doing an incredible job with this year's run club but it's like an incredible place to me that are now starting to show up to it so noah thank you for being one of those jack i think you've [54:24] been one of those patrick i think you've been at a couple he's right there evidence proof of image um there's also some pretty extreme running stuff going on this is not the normal run club but if you do want to run up a mountain in the dark that's also available this that the vibe code residency ran we'll hear from them in a moment these are all local business owners who are learning how to use ai into vibe code this is happening at craftwork which is a co-working space just across the road so cool [54:56] there's the people who are learning for the first time how to use the latest tools in you know improving their business function which is just amazing so you know quick round of applause for the uh vibe code folks thank you there was a birthday yesterday day before first birthday wow so sweet that's one of one of those girls on the on the i'm very proud that that is she's she's she's only six months and the the [55:29] one-year-old is she's she's gaining gaining size on her which is a bit of a worry but it was sol's birthday it was beautiful if you haven't if you're interested in stopping by the environments of tomorrow house which is the kids house that there's so many amazing things going on there's probably going to be another open house on friday this week it's better to come during the open house time uh so that you know the kids are aware and the families that are there are away but that will happen and i highly recommend stopping by amazing yeah that's the edge tomorrow house so one thing we do at town [56:03] hall just do a really quick like what's working well what are some highlights i'm literally just going to write these things down um one of the things that's working well is um well these are just things that i've heard that are kind of pre-populated um a bunch of people has been so we had the psychedelics track we had the women's health i know you're in the audience there somewhere yeah shout out daniel we had we we won't go through every single one but just to kind of collectively celebrate the [56:35] women's health track we had vital futures we had a bunch of consciousness programming at the lunch and learn so it's just been really really awesome but a bunch of cool experiments someone um talked to me yesterday about how interesting it is to actually be in an environment where people are actually trying to run experiments which i completely agree and was just a really cool feedback to hear and something on that like it's it's very clear that this model is actually really interesting at edge and people are interested in it we had very complicated blood work that was done this week shout out catherine [57:08] for really leading the charge there with different stages of their blood work so it wasn't just like folks we did not have anyone we had i think we had two people drop out out of 30 that in all the 280 sessions that are going on at edge still remember to show up to all their blood work so it's just this reminder that like experiments are really interesting here so if you have an experiment that [57:38] you want to run you might have able and willing participants i should have added this to the stats but yeah 210 blood draws that's pretty impressive um amazing experience on friday shout out to mike wang from the long journey team such a highlight and also just a bunch of jams going on shout out shaka for leading some of that um incredible musicians in this group so if someone wanted to run uh you know improv night i think just a jam night i think that would be [58:11] would be well received just throwing it out there it was absurd it just kept getting more and more crazy how good everyone was going up on stage um another thing from our perspective is that the volunteers have just been absolutely awesome this year and we are very very grateful for them these are people that come and and you know give their time to make this experience what it is so please you know if you meet someone at check-in or someone helping set up the spaces etc you know give them a high five tell [58:42] them they're doing a wonderful job um people have really enjoyed this week any highlights we just shared a little bit of highlights curious you can raise your hand yeah surge yeah so that being interesting and interested [59:26] anything else yeah that's so cool and on that if people want to also wear name tags around i've seen a few people start to do that and it's actually really helpful uh so that's a way that you'll [1:00:06] apparently get a lot more people coming to speak to you too anything else i'm going to call on some people shout out tubing crew did everyone make it back yeah okay as far as we're aware okay only one was lost at sea that's a that's i'm actually amazed tubing people are here last year they were like they would yeah iterated amazing okay last one from [1:00:52] someone yeah oh yeah yeah love that yeah that was a really cool outing and just to remind you that like it doesn't all have to happen in this space there's a lot of amazing stuff that you can people can coordinate and take people to go and visit maybe a seaweed trip seaweed trip make it happen yeah [1:01:34] love to see progress over time we're showing off the progress someone came up to me afterwards and like damn these are getting really good so yeah let's keep that up um and just one of one final shout out for the opening ceremony for the um raven theater on friday just want to give mike wang a huge round of applause he just entered the room he also hosted a uh a stone fruit speak easy which i had no idea what [1:02:06] that was going to be and it was incredible it was exactly what it sounds like it turns out so great job mike um so another thing we like to touch on in these town halls are kind of learnings reminders things that we feel like as a community we can do better together and one thing that ironically uh is feedback to myself that i will give is that we should really aim to start and end sessions on time um so i'm just cracking up welcome why the new entrance into the room yeah all right just straight [1:02:41] from the tubing thank you for the commitment everyone for coming straight we're really glad to have you here please there are seats at the front if you want to if you want to join us love that um yeah yeah round round of applause for the uh the speedos we don't get that every town hall it's great so yes very important if you're organizing sessions there will potentially be one before you and after you and [1:03:13] potentially there should be time for um us as organizers to judge the space although that's something we really want your help in so you point to here um so but the point is at the very least please end on time because that really impacts everything that happens after you thank you point two lip i just learned this yesterday from mike leave it prettier leave it prettier than when you found it i kind of prefer this to leave no trace just sounds nice lip did you lip yeah did you lip today [1:03:50] the third this is actually a um a bullet that i had from a prior deck a prior one of these town halls i don't it's just a good reminder to always you know assume best intent and always treat folks with respect even if it's someone that's working in this space if it's someone local let's be kind and curious about their experience as well the volunteers the staff the production team our core team have been putting so much effort into making this a reality and we all get to benefit from that so let's [1:04:21] really celebrate them as the real vips here and yeah just a round of applause for all the volunteers especially and lastly the end of week one is a really good reminder that this is a marathon it's not it's also a sprint in some ways but it's also a marathon it is extremely exciting when you get here there is so much going on and then something we've seen happen is that folks kind of have a dip it often happens in week two the dip of energy you feel like oh my god there's so much [1:04:56] going on the calendar's filling up i have all of these you know janine's telling me to set intentions but there's shogun's farm is happening i don't know what's you know just take it easy remember to as well there is the joy of being part of a collective where so many things are happening and you get to be part of that without having to be there yourself that's quite beautiful anything else anything folks want to kind of surface i've got something to add oh yeah i i would [1:05:27] really love to set a reminder and this whole group is here because you guys really care about this community ticketing is not a fun thing for us to do we wish we could give this to everyone for free we wish we could build this for free that would be amazing we can't it's unfortunate we're trying our hardest ticketing is the best option that we have to try and keep this sustainable and we would love for everyone here to help us with that culture we are trying really hard to make sure that anyone who does want to be here we find a way to support them whether that being volunteering or whether that being [1:06:03] some sort of discount for some research that they're doing or whether that sort of finding a patron for them but if we don't set a culture that like people actually buying tickets is important in some capacity way shape or form this won't continue and we really want this culture to keep growing versus degrading so please be stewards of this community together thank you yeah it's a great reminder and if you need like a direct checkout links um actually you've all applied so you'll have it in your um in your portal [1:06:37] and you can just buy a ticket there or a check-in anything else from this week yeah please oh yeah yeah so talk about that yeah that's a great prompt so the calendar is there for all of us and it does fill up it gets quite busy so a couple of best practices one is that the links for everything are in the key links and docs pinned channel in the telegram you can always access it there in the wiki [1:07:12] there are instructions for how to use the calendar if it's not clear we've tried to make it as easy as possible it's you know it's uh it's a difficult software to create because there are so many different affordances that we need to take into account but it works you know relatively well there are bugs actually that's another thing i should have on here calendar bugs annoying um but we're with and um in terms of planning a session we definitely encourage it a lot of folks reach out to me and [1:07:44] say like hey i'd really love to do a session what do i do um the first thing is read the wiki and understand how that works second of all because there's so much going on it's we encourage you to if you plan a session communicate about it on telegram talk to the people around you who might be interested in that um tell your agent that you're doing it so that it can tell the other agents to pitch it to their humans things like that um i just saw a raised hand just here yeah love that yeah consistency is [1:08:54] great you can also there is venues on the left so you can just quickly see all the different venues and um when you go to the calendar i also really like this view you can full screen it which yep oh yeah new uh well that's new venue which is only i can see because i have god mode but um the create event is up here yeah and then this view is really nice we're trying to get the columns a little thinner um [1:09:25] but also ocean's uh demo at the demo day was awesome i think you can probably log in there and see everything in one place if we can okay cool so um everything that's happening so right now you know you could look tomorrow and see okay there's a gap in the calendar you can also again ask your agent say hey i want to do something on tuesday is happening or fewer things are happening that would be best for me and it should be able to answer that and then last thing that i would add is sort of take initiative [1:09:59] with the events that we're planning and don't just put it on and then expect the edge team to put it on for you it is a kind of bring your own event and bring your own skills and bring your own tools we just provide the space uh there will be instructions in different places about how to use projectors and whatnot but the more people are taking responsibility the easier this village runs that's a really good reminder so in this room we have a full av setup and we have the privilege of working with the amazing shaka in this room do not abuse that privilege yeah shout out shaka [1:10:32] meaning if it's 9 30 and you put on an event at 9 45 in here do not expect shaka to magically show up he looks at the calendar the day before but generally he is extremely gracious with his time and presence otherwise please host things in the hub in the hub there are also microphones there is um there are should be instructions for how to use them everything's set up there there's no recording there and that's okay for most cases you can record it yourself of course and that's up to you and i hope that it's a a bit [1:11:05] clear this year that like this space is more like formal talk space the flex space in the hub is more like workshop sessions that you know you you're running your on your own it's flex space for that reason so uh take advantage of it for that reason awesome all right one thing we love to do it's just a quick like gratitude and props round just like you can raise your hand and shout it out but basically is there anyone in the community you want to shout out they don't have to be here right now you can just [1:11:36] be like this person this reason yeah tell them on yeah yeah safe that's amazing he's an absolute champion yes that was said a lot good all right that's awesome yeah yes yeah shout out taylor and and on that taylor [1:12:24] has a google drive that she has put in the telegram group that anyone can photos of what is going on so maybe we'll pin that in the in the documents tab so everyone has that i i want to have a shout out to soleil and phoenix's grandmother who has been incredible walking around everywhere it's not easy to sort of navigate this town walking as a grandmother with two young kids that you're looking after but she has done it with an absolute smile on her face yeah [1:13:03] anyone else quick yeah serge just is was just here her energy is still present is still here yeah that's just on the left anyone else yeah i think that's right last two okay well i'm gonna call [1:13:57] out dawn catherine and mike wang uh catherine and dawn have been like pretty much holding all programming all needs all questions all my faces so please please say thank you to them when you see them and mike wang there is there is very little that needs to be said for you you are a edge hero in so many ways you have single-handedly i think yes we're all it's every everyone's doing the work but you have [1:14:28] single-handedly carried the connection that has happened in this village and this like incredible vibe that is being created and we couldn't do this without you yeah plus one okay last one okay yeah yeah boys boys got some pipes did you did everyone hear his claude and kodak song straight off the dome fully improvised incredible also if you haven't seen the wyatt rogers album please make sure to find it and [1:15:02] you know what if you would like a puzzle about wyatt rogers i think i've got about three of those in my closet at home so happy to give that as a gift wow and and that is odd if if we can if we can carry this like gratitudes and props forward this week there is a channel in the telegram it goes such a long way when people are both seeing one another like celebrate one another as well as when people receive something like that so we want we want to see that chat like pop and all yeah all right next up [1:15:37] i would like to invite a very special person to the chair oh the very two very special people to the chair one chair three very special people to the one chair that we have and the one microphone okay please welcome hello all right jack one of us and it will be me um so first of all would you guys just quickly [1:16:09] introduce yourselves and just tell us what is the vibe code residency my name is mariella my name is jack and i'm noah yeah we're i mean we're kind of like the whimsical playhouse of where you go to make your hopes and dreams come true with vibe code that's incredible um and and do you have a physical space is it kind of in the ether how does it work it's in all of the places so we'll host at the hub but we also do have a house that hosts we hosted a poolside vibe and hang yesterday afternoon how much [1:16:48] vibe coding was happening at the poolside hang so shout out leo um leo's the kid who was the only only person vibe coding he was building a game and and so okay so and yeah so the youngest and oldest person there were vibe coding no one else was vibe coding but um yeah it was fun awesome what have you guys got in store for us this coming week so every wednesday we're hosting a weekly business ai series so as you guys so a call to action for you all as you meet wonderful businesses or chat with [1:17:25] people and they're looking for things to do one wednesday programming is always available to all locals but two send them our way and we'll teach them to vibe code yeah yeah and then we also will be doing like pretty much daily co-working sessions so if you just keep a eye on the calendar we'll be hosting a lot of stuff and yeah it's just a great excuse to build with other people so yeah no anything to add yeah so as you guys are interacting with small businesses throughout the community and if [1:17:57] they come our way um it'll be hosted at craftwork um so shout out jim he's also a board member at the chamber of commerce um and he's gratefully or graciously allowed us to host there um so if they're interested it will be at 8 30. and mariella just to finish up anything that we should know about any of our partners notion etc yes thank you for that um so notion is coming on june 17th there's only 30 spaces for [1:18:32] that workshop but between now and then you can become notion maxers amazing um so sign up for um your notion credits um it's an incredible opportunity you get three months of business pro plans all the different things it takes 48 hours to activate we're going to host some sessions on it next week or this week um and i'm just super excited to have them and we're also going to be doing a fireside chat with one of their community leads who's flying in from new york city so um it'll be five it'll be there'll [1:19:04] be 30 people and then there's going to be five people coming in from the sf office so everyone's going to be able to go really deep and have personalized um sessions and then also with the credits everyone gets a 30-minute consultation with a notion consultant so tons of personalized ways to become a notion maxer yeah it's worth a lot of money and we highly recommend you go for it um all right round of applause please for the vibe code crew we care a lot about the residencies that we co-create this [1:19:37] with we're incredibly grateful to our collaborators here and over the course of the next few town halls you'll get to meet more of them we'll just give them a chance to you know be up on stage you get to know them hear about what they're working on and the vision behind their projects all right so briefly touching on some of the experiments at edge esmeralda we have the agent village which i mentioned we have a whole bunch of programming about this for the coming week which i'll touch on in a second we have completed the invader experiment we had 210 blood draws but if you missed it not to worry there is [1:20:15] another blood draw happening tomorrow i wish i had known about this one before doing the 210 it was great i was starting to kind of like it by the end anyway tomorrow from i believe 8am it's on the calendar or it will be soon this company rhythm is coming say again 7 15 a.m until noon in the hub it's best best if you come fasted it's painless it's quick it's easy [1:20:50] it's like a continuous glucose monitor again i would have loved to know that but um no it's it's going to give you a ton of really interesting information about you it's really quick and easy and you should definitely come and do it tomorrow morning that's the only time they'll be around so make sure you do it we have alethios still we have access to this really cool platform you can run a research experiment if you've had a week of inspiration between the last time we talked about this and today you can design your own study it can be an end of one thing that you do yourself it can be a 200 person [1:21:21] thing that you and get everyone here to do so um sign up at alethios.com and then there's a code edge dash city and to present the dynamic health index i would like to welcome christine up to the stage please welcome christine okay no no i've got um i just wanted to quickly um say hi i just got here um [1:21:55] my study uh was part of the metabolomic study but is now continuing past it i am creating something called the dynamic health index a whole system and is trying to look at your heart rate over the course of the day not just its value but the way it moves um to create a whole person metric of health so i hope that it will eventually become scalable i have good results with like um pretty high frequency data and now i'm asking people at edge to help me figure out if i can transfer it to fitbit [1:22:27] so in this study you wear a polar chest strap which is um just like worn around your chest like this for three 24 hour periods um and it has really high quality all as a fitbit at the same time um so that i can calculate my metrics on both of them and then we'll see if this uh new metric is scalable so if you guys want to help me out with that i'd really appreciate it you can um just fill out the little google sheet there and then my assisted arrival content stop and get you the two devices so if you guys want to do that i'd really appreciate it um [1:23:04] yeah that's it thank you this is awesome i just got the new fitbit air so i recommend recommend measuring yourself so you can learn about yourself all right a couple of other experiments connection lab we're about to experience that so stick around we just talked about dynamic health index vasocomp starts next week and then we do have a um journey jana retreat uh on the 13th this one you will need to sign up for there's instructions for how on the calendar it's all [1:23:35] on the blog and the wiki so one thing i do want to surface as well is that we're working with a team called geo to work on kind of a village community knowledge graph and this is going to be a really cool artifact that we all have after this so discussion even great telegram interactions can all you know be knowledge that is worth preserving and it's all going to go into geo into this knowledge base and there you'll be able to view recaps of the talks you missed you can add your thoughts your links [1:24:08] you can add photos um it's kind of almost creating like a feed for the village you can also you know eventually we'll have community highlights from the day etc it all integrates with the agent village experiment um and so yeah we really want people to kind of be involved in this we have a qr code here it will launch properly tomorrow but you can log in now and it will just be super smooth for you um and if you're giving a talk your talk already or your event in edge os already has a kind of [1:24:41] companion page on geo and that's where you can ask polls or questions people can give you ideas thoughts feedback on your chat um and yeah that's going to be it and the geo team is around to help they're also giving a you need he created something called the graph really cool project and is now working on this and he'll give a talk at 1 p.m on tuesday we went through these a couple of things there's a public calendar link people have been asking for this if you want to share the calendar [1:25:13] with your friends who are not here yet but are thinking about coming send them that link it's pinned in the telegram in the key links and docs topic and then we also have camping options shout out miela for turning those on and lucy um if you have friends who want to come up it's now much easier for them to camp at the isis oasis sanctuary retreat so there's also info about that in telegram quick thing on how can you help edge we get this question a lot we forget to make the slide often [1:25:46] um people are like man this was so cool you know people are leaving today having had an amazing week one asking how can we help there's a couple of ways that make it very easy so in the future these town halls we will have strategy strategy based discussions we'll talk about the budget for the event we'll talk about what are we trying to achieve in the world and how can you get involved for now there is a very easy way which is that you can share about your experience at this event this edge esmeralda we still have some space for attendees in the coming weeks so if you have [1:26:18] friends who you really think would enjoy this get them down here um if it's someone you trust you can ask me and i'll give you a link that they can check out directly they don't have to do the application we can even share a discount code for you as current attendees that you can share with your friends so you can just dm me at timor xyz with a you know description of who they are and the final thing is that we're interested in speaking with folks who are either fundraising for a startup or have friends who might be this is something that we're starting to develop as a core competency of what we do and [1:26:53] as we grow that and we would love to get the community involved in term in terms of surfacing interesting projects that they are aware of or working on themselves janine anything else there's going to be a number of additional projects and experiments happening i know leo for example is going to be running an experiment this week there's a lot more experiments kind of popping up that people are going to be running some people running them on the alethios platform just kind of look out for those you might need a sort of volunteer yourself [1:27:28] uh i know there's mochi is going to be doing a glp1 experiment for someone who wants get involved in experiments is essentially what i'm trying to say perfect all right what is the daily flow in the coming week what should you be thinking about we're just trying to make it easy to have a flow that you can you know follow so again we'll start the days 7 30 with movement so we have yoga in the hub the wellness space we have the run club from trio [1:28:01] of the gnosis journeys this is the final week of this experience people have been raving about it we highly recommend experiencing this that's in the hub at the wellness space as well at 10am we have deep work pomodoros in the hub so you can just get all your work out of the way i did um a few of these last week we it wasn't entirely clear where it was going to be we're just going to use the big co-working space the creative co-working space and just pick one side if you want to get engaged [1:28:31] in the pomodoros we'll be kind of on the far side towards the back wall at 10am we are looking for someone to help run this it's really fun and easy you just have to do your work and set a timer and then in the breaks people get to chat just quickly is there anyone who's interested in that just being there yeah l okay we'll go potentially yeah okay maybe uh text me on telegram maybe you can run one of them who wants to run a yeah yeah you don't have to you don't have to do all of them hands up okay patrick wants to run one nice ah amir wants to run one amazing okay we got three people [1:29:06] we're we're looking good i'll run one and yeah i'll rope in my husband to run okay perfect it's a really annoyingly effective way to get a ton of work done so just come and do it and it's going to be fun at 12 the meal plans will land and then at 1 pm this week we will have they will be right here they'll be focused on um ai this week yeah ai focused and um just folks chatting in the kitchen [1:29:38] if you could just like give your attention to me for a moment thank you it's about five more minutes don't worry it will be over soon um so this week is week so we'll have a lot of interesting ai talks we'll have um neuroscience and neurotech talks um into the neurom the program will be running in the hub it'll start at 2 pm we'll go till 7 and then the ai talks will be happening here there'll be about an hour an hour and a half of content in the afternoon early afternoon at 1 pm every day we'll have an [1:30:11] interesting talk from a speaker and then we'll have about an hour of kind of flexible workshop discussion time bring your laptops we can all just sit and work on our agents so we can collaborate etc and the neurom track is not talks from two to seven there is also sort of co-working time connection time getting to know people in the space we're trying to figure out creative ways of how we both have people share knowledge but how people can engage uh in interesting ways so it's not just [1:30:45] yeah perfect in at around 4 pm we will have um more programming there are some really interesting talks and discussions happening this varies throughout the days um on tuesday we have david shore coming talk about ai and democracy um tomorrow we have sunday rush the founder of safety wing which is a really cool company and and the work they're doing in kind of global nomad citizenship so lots of cool stuff like that throughout the week at 7 pm we will have community dinner um it'll be like a listening [1:31:21] session at 7 pm with az from um long journey which i'm really excited for uh for that will be in the wellness space then we will have the daily meditations and then the wind down evenings which i think will actually be at the trio not the hub but check the calendar for final details and just for context we moved those wind down evenings to trio since everyone a lot of people are saunering and a lot of people staying there so we figured that would be easier but if people are like i really want it at [1:31:51] the hub we had no one show up the hub for the two nights we did it last week but that might change this week just kind of ping us ping me personally and let me know if that is of interest and we can maybe ship things yeah on the calendar it's at trio and again the sauna is there till 10 pm and then you can still hang out after for a little bit in the uh in the chill space all right that's it for today thank you folks so we're going to take a three minute pause stand up move your body a little bit and then we [1:32:27] we invite you to go to the stage to get us all connected
